the people of brazil
The people of Brazil are composed of multiple ethnicities, including indigenous Indians, Africans, and Portuguese, Portuguese being the most dominant. Although the Indian population is quite small, Tupi-Guarani, the language of Brazilian Indians, continues to influence the language of Brazilian Portuguese. Their religion used to be predominately Catholic, but when it was no longer the official religion of the republic, the more popular religions were Protestant, East Orthodox, and even Buddhism. In regards to demographics, as the country of Brazil has become wealthier and more modern, "life expectancy has increased and the rate of population growth has declined" (Martins). In Brazil, citizens place a lot of importance on "the family structure and the values that are entrenched within that institution." Families are usually larger than we would typically see, including extended family, and they value helping and supporting each other whenever they need too. (Meyer).

brazil's beauty
|
Brazil is one of the most exciting travel destinations for any tourist, with its beautiful, vast geography being one of the biggest attractions. According to "Ten Best Places to Visit in Brazil", their land ranges from Amazon rain forests to Pantanal wetlands to beautiful tropical beaches. There are several beautiful cities and beaches to visit, some of them holding interesting history about Brazil and others providing fun and relaxation. The number one tourist spot in Brazil is Rio de Janeiro, the heart of Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, you can find "parades, costumes, dancing, music, fireworks and street parties." A few other places that are recommended are:

the struggles of brazil
One of the top three struggles of Brazil is their crime rate. According to Wikipedia, "With roughly 23.8 homicides per 100,000 residents, muggings, robberies, kidnappings and gang violence are common. Corruption and police brutality are also very widespread in Brazil. Another problem that has been prominent in Brazil for a while now is their poverty rates. Those with no financial stability have a hard time getting out of the slums because "the richest 10% of Brazil have access to over 40% of the country's income" (Meyer). Those who go and tour/visit the country will take notice of the poverty because so much of the country is homeless and financially unstable. While there are several programs put in place to help out with things like homelessness and food, it still doesn't make a large enough debt. The last struggle that is widespread in Brazil is their education availability. According to Cynthia Nes, a co-founder of The Brazil Business, "nearly 18% of the Brazilian population is functionally illiterate." While Brazil has improved on its illiteracy rate, "38% of Brazilian undergraduates are also functionally illiterate," meaning the education system is still extremely fragile.
